Remember: WOS don't make any money from the site (no adverts) and if Nintendo send a cease and desist they will be removed immediately. so it will be hard to sue for profits and WOS actively ask for permissions (or they used to)
So I don't think WOS should be prudent or they would have to remove every game that the owner could sue them for hosting it. (I.E. everyone that has not said it's OK)
and who's knows how legal the person that said OK is? (might not be the right rights owner)
Agree with Ash. Plus its totally different, Emuparadise had tons of Nintendo rom's whereas here theres the odd one by Ocean or that. If they got a letter they would be removed but with all the tons of rom sites out there WOS is probably way down on the list. None of the games here are available on Nintendo handheld devices etc
Nintendo, wasn't that the company who made R4 cards illegal in the UK? It was so useful for playing spectrum games.
It's not a good idea to self-censor stuff just because they can and will erode consumer rights. In fact, if they would send letters then I'd like to have copies and post them online.
I'm wondering if they're planning something ... Like NES paid downloads on 3DS or whatever... I doubt they'll want to release the Spectrum versions! Shame that Nintendo can't just embrace the retro fans freely enjoying all those old, out of print, games ... Emuparadise was my go to site for DS games too... Just as well I recently downloaded all the ones I wanted. I love my R4... Playing on a DSXL, with ZXDS of course.

The subscription online service for Switch goes live next month. There will, initially at least, be access to a bundle of 20 NES titles with online multiplayer. More games will be added over time.

Oh well there's always 10,000,000 other emu sites.
EDIT: Curiousity got the better of me, looks like the site's still there, and all the Nintendo stuff as well?

Games List 2016 - Games List 2015 - Games List 2014
It's all still listed, but the download links have been removed.
Yes, they're planning on selling you Super Mario Bros for the 19th time :))
I did buy a sealed Super Mario Bros 3 though....Which incidentally is still sealed...
Tell me about it, that cellophane can be a bugger to get off. A good pair of scissors should do the trick.
