"Good" Games?

Hello all,
just a quick question. Were any "good" games ever written in Basic alone?
Yes I know it's hated and shunned because it's so slow, but really. was there ever any fun games that are purely coded in basic?

Football Manager was 100% BASIC and 100% classic. In fact guv, I'd say the lads gave it 110% and you can't ask for more than that at the end of the day. cf. PARROT, SICK AS A

Oracle's Cave ? Don't know if it's 100% Basic but it's a nice wee game.worldofspectrum.org/infoseekid.cgi?id=0003539
There are probably other 'dungeon crawl' games written in Basic that are ok - it's a genre that kind of allows for the slowness.

Frank the Flea which was sent into Crash on a Woolworths cassette. I remember reading this review when the April 1986 edition was first published. I really wish I'd sent off for a copy as I guess there can't be that many in existence now.

A strategy game called Millionaire was written in BASIC, it's good but difficult. Another one is The Biz - a strategy game where you have to get your band to number 1 (really good game, i managed it once) and that was also in BASIC.

20 tons is a nice little Boulderdash type game and I actually quite enjoy Fishing Mission from the Cassette 50 compilation.
