I know one game that doesn't have a final boss on the Speccy! Ghouls n' Ghosts!

Instead you get the death rain of invincible conkers, as you jump across an abundance of World 8 of Super Mario Brothers style platforms! Dicks! It's a good job Sir. Arthur is wearing sabatons, cos' if he wasn't he'd be snapping all his toenails off with these platforms. But what about Arthur in his boxers I hear you say? Nope! You get hit you're going down a hole, no second chances here!
Actually this ridiculous addition to the Speccy version is way harder than defeating Loki ever was :O
Are we just talking games with no bosses until the end of the game, or any game that has a memorable final boss? Cos' like Nick Said just about every action based arcade conversion has a final boss, but also bosses at the end of every level usually.
Oh I can think of one more original game that does just have a final boss though Chronos.
I suppose it's a bit cheaty since it's a fighter but I suppose Way of the Tiger as well, Naijishii the final opponent is the only Character you only face once, the rest can be thrown at you 2 or 3 times in an actual phase of the game. Even the big ogre type creature at the end of the first section of the game has to be beaten twice before you can progress further.
Jumping on that bandwagon I also guess Barbarian, you face Drax at the end of the game in a somewhat unfair do or die situation. Easy once you know how, but man the first time I got there he murked me in seconds :))
Reminds me of Joe & Mac / Caveman Ninja where the last level is set inside a dinosaur. At the end you have a choice of three passages, only one of which leads to the 'good' ending with the cute cavegirl. Always struck me as a golden opportunity to have Toad pop up and say "Sorry Joe & Mac, our Princess is in another @rsehole". :))

In terms of original games I can only think of Target: Renegade off the top of my head.
