  • Sister Wendy is quite memorable, have there been any other nun presenters on TV or radio?

Quite impressive that she worked completely unscripted, I didn't know that. I wonder how accurate she was or if the shows are riddled with errors.

  • DR Hook often dressed up and played the part of their own support band, very few people ever caught on, I have seen them many times live and have spoken to them as well, Ray was very nice, even if he was a little bit of a wild card, Joker !

I thought Neil had died some time ago? Think he lived in Ohio, me and him were supposed to go for a beer if I was ever in his neck of the woods. The one time I was was after he quit playing RDR, and I had no other means of contacting him, so it never happened.

I could be following him soon :O

Got results of some blood tests back yesterday, my blood sugar, cholesterol, and blood pressure are through the f*ckin' roof! Liver and kidney functions are normal though, and my white blood cell count is normal too. Good news there is I know I don't have cancer, and it's not the beer that's killing me.

Better stop eating Taco Bell then :(

Bloody hell boozey, that's awful. Hope they've got you on some meds to control it.

I remember back in 2006 I was at the hospital and the doc complained about my elevated blood pressure. This was about 30 minutes before I was due to have my throat slit open to remove an infected saliva gland (saliva stones) and he'd just explained to me all of the risks. One of which was that I could lose feeling in parts of my neck due to nerve damage. So, no sh!t Sherlock, I was nervous!

12 years later and yup, still have only about 75% of the feeling in the neck. Horrible when shaving.

Yup! I had to get the same gland removed due to a non cancerous lump growing on it, that was back in 2000 and i still have limited feeling in the side of my face, ear and neck due to nerve damage. I was in surgery for 5 hours as the procedure was tricky due to many nerves in the way of the lump and trying to remove all the spores. I'm careful when shaving as i could nick a spot and not know until i see the blood.
I should go for a blood test, the last time was a few years ago, the doctors said my cholesterol was among the lowest he'd seen for someone in North Lanarkshire (it was 2.1) my blood pressure and heart in general was fine but things can change and i'm a little older so you never know.
I hope Boozy has been giving drugs for his condition and perhaps time to lay off the beer and curries? :))

    The trouble with tribbles is.......

  • Many years ago, I was on phone for ages to a guy that was taking band photos for a living. We'd got chatting about music, and got round to the Isle of Wight festival around 1972 - I told him I had a taped copy of it as a kid and loved it! Can't remember who it was, but someone went nuts at the crowd for pushing and told them to calm down. He replied that they missed that as they were backstage! Turned out I had been chatting to Spike from The Marmalade for ages and hadn't realised lol! Had a few beers with him at the gig he was photographing. Nice guy. The band hated being called Marmalade. It's THE Marmalade!!

Cheer up Boozey thats nothing! You can take pills to sort that lot out! I have all that plus failing kidney function and just arrived a detached retina (which is weird and **** up eyesight wise) and thyroid gland insufficiency. All of which means loads of pills to remember to take to slow down heart, speed up thyroid and who knows what the rest do? Just remember to take them first thing in the morning, last thing at night.

Oh and BTW, Happy New Year to you and the rest of the blokes
