The most interesting thing about this game is the cheat mode which turns you into a bottle of banana milk! It almost makes the game worth playing, but not quite.

Return of the Jedi [Domark]
Various levels organized in a Zaxxon perspective, describing different sequences of the movies, in the first
you ride a jetbike through the forest, in the second level you're at the steering wheel of the Millenium Falcon, and the rest I didn't see. The accent is on the dodging part, and on the make-the-enemies-crash-against-the-obstacles side. It's nice enough. 3,5/5

The BBC Micro's answer to Boulderdash finally found it way onto the spectrum in this year and is a near perfect port of the original.
While the early couple of levels are of the standard collect the diamond and escape while not getting crushed by falling rocks affair, later levels see the introduction of eggs which once hatched reveal a baby dragon that chases you around.
Operation Thunderbolt [Ocean Software]
This sequel was a Crash Smash, a Sinclair Megagame and a Sinclair User Classic but it seems too overwhelmingly busy and confused to me. 3/5
Another adventure game that suffers from it's vocabulary and having to guess the exact phrase required. You can't just BUY BEER, you have to SAY TO LANDLORD "GIVE ME BEER".
It also suffers from being another Hobbit parody. How many of them do we need?
It's not bad, just nothing too spectacular either.
Vigilante [U.S. Gold]
Dull and repetitive scrolling beat'em up. I had the original and I remember finishing it by keeping pressed a couple of keys from start to finish. And this is how I saved Madonna.
Bought it because the italian Zzap! gave 89% to it (Spectrum version). Totally wrong. 2/5
Ghostbusters II [Activision]
By now Ocean set the multi-section standard for the movie licenses. U.S. Gold implemented it in Moonwalker with bad results, Activision tried it in Ghostbusters II. So, in the first level you have to lower yourself into a well and descend into the bowels of New York. In the second stage you're controlling the Statue of Liberty walking through the metropolis while shooting at ghosts. In the third section you're in a museum for the final fight with an ancient entity. It's a decent and professional effort, but not very exciting. Like the movie. So it's a good rendition of the movie, in a sense. 3/5
You've just moved into your new house whose previous owner mysteriously disappeared. Despite, the fact the house is in pretty poor condition, you decide to find out what happened to her when a spot of decorating would probably be a better idea. The parser is excellent allowing complex instructions such as "take the notepad and read it". Ok, that's not that complicated but most adventures don't allow for that sort of thing. I really enjoyed this game. It's possible to make some progress with some pretty logical puzzles.
Curious title, Fantasy World Dizzy. I don't remember any Dizzy games set in an urban environment. Thankfully, they fixed the inventory system from Treasure Island Dizzy - no more scrolling through held items and accidently dropping the snorkel whilst underwater! I'm not sure how the snorkel helped you breathe underwater anyway as it wasn't long enough to reach the surface!
This is easily the best game in the series, perfecting a lot of things from the first 2 games without rehasing old ideas like later games.
5/5
By the way, David Darling thinks this game is absolutely brilliant!
Shinobi [Virgin Games]
It seems a pretty good beat'em up to me. I didn't find problems in performing the "big jump" as some other people, not with the PC keyboard, anyway. 3,75/5

I'm sure Count Duckula 2 will be even better.
It's even better than Renegade 3

And only 6 years after the film
A multicoloured mess with jerky scrolling.

This is a very impressive port.

Not bad but too many sudden deaths.

I wonder which 80's pop star you'll be playing with next?

Actually it's not, it's crap!
