That bast gave me grief for days if not weeks. I think it was just one of those bosses that you can't get your head around and you try the same crap moves over and over hoping they'll work that one time.
Bloodborne's Amygdala is supposed to be a rock hard boss. Beat her every time. Ludwig on the other hand...
Haha! yeah you must have all kinds of pent up hate towards me for beating Flamlurker with next to no effort on my first playthrough, and on NG+...But then again remember I had super insane trouble with the Ancient Dragon God or whatever it was called, and you got through that first time.
Horses for courses I guess ;)
Gonna buy Sekiro sometimes soon, but no idea when tbh, Judgement is out sometime soon, and so id the Sega Megadrive/Genesis Mini, and soon after that the PC-Engine/TG-16 mini......Life keeps throwing game stuff at me, that I want but don't have time for :))
Oh and as for Ludwig, gotta reinstall bloodborne, need to hit up that DLC....Still haven't tried it, but I'll have to get used to the mechanics again, it's been probably over a year since I've played Bloodborne....Should never have uninstalled it, but If I hadn't I'd have been slowly driven mad by chalice dungeons....
Hah! I remember how easily you got past Flamelurker. In the end I think I just cheesed him - I've a recollection of doing that against most Demon's bosses - apart from the first one.
Sekiro is completely awesome - it seems to get better the better you get at it. Some normal enemies are Soulsborne boss level tough though - I'm currently fighting a couple of sword-wielding monkeys (yup, you read that right) who are probably harder than the most bosses. Not at the same time either, singly, and they're vile, fast and hit hard and often. I nearly wore out my left index finger last night, parrying so much...
They're nothing on these terrors though. I've beaten them once through toe-to-toe fighting. Fortunately they're an awesome sneak-farming place though.
Hadn't heard about the PC Engine Mini! That's definitely on my want list - loved my PC Engine. Wonder if it'll actually get released in the UK, unlike the original :))
I've seen quite a bit about it now, although a lot of it is speculation, looks like Japan will be getting a mini white PC-Engine, the US will be getting a mini black TG16, and I think Europe is getting a mini Grey PC-Engine Core Grafix.
Looks like as per usual Japan will be getting a slightly better list of games, so far it looks like Japan has at least one Bonk's Adventure game on there, and the US doesn't. I think Japan may also be getting Splatterhouse, but not sure about anywhere else, although they've only announced about 7 games so far.
Nethack, again, since the new 3.6.2 version came out. A few bugs in it though. The once neutral peaceful priest whom I bought protection from previously keeps attacking me when I went back for more protection armed with loads of money. I'm pretty sure it's a bug as my god is happy with me and I just can see any reason for it..(yes I'm not wearing my ring of conflict or having any conflict causing item). They've made the once easy to beat Vlad the Impaler ..almost impossible to beat. A +6 cleaver and -16AC and speed boots and magic protection hardly help at all. Out of three attempts I only defeated him with a +6 Graywandir! Used to be able to beat him with a tin opener..(was a standing joke!) Anyhoo. Nethack 3.6.2.

I've played a lot of rogue games in my time... but only just started on this...
You might like to take a peek...
Yes, its very nice, thanks. I've tried a lot of the forks and interfaces over the years. However, I tend to stick to the vanilla version and original interface.
Had a play on Metro: Exodus... Bit meh tbh...
Now to try The Messenger which is some kind of platformer, then Old Man'd Journey, Supermarket Shriek (shopping cart racing apparently), then Zoo Tycoon (wanna stick a load of deer in a lion enclosure heheh.)
I decided to pay out (£1) for the Xbox/PC Game Pass thing, plenty of games on there, probably worth it for a couple of months at least :)
Recent event for ESO ended today, but since I worked Sunday night I never got the last 2 event tickets, because the events generally end at 8am my time, and when I work sunday night I get off at 8am, instead of 6am....So kind of annoyed.
Anyway the last few days I've been trying to play the original Dead Rising, you know what's messed up, so many people told me years ago when I was playing the Wii version Chop til' you drop, that it sucked compared to the original.
After all these years I'm not inclined to agree, OK enemies would pop in as you moved forward, the graphics took a pretty big knock on the Wii compared to the 360 version, but you know what? Playing it with the Resi 4 engine was way better than this slow clunky broken mess. I'm playing the digi only version on PS4, by rights it should be a perfect representation of the original, running on better hardware. I have no idea if it actually is because I've never played the 360 version, but if this is running exactly the same, the Wii version was way better gameplay wise. This is not really that great at all and it's hard, but it doesn't seem hard because it's challenging it seems hard because it's grossly unfair in places. If a zombie grabs you it instantly take s a block of health weither it bites or not, but getting shot with a mounted machine gun stuns you for a second, after about 10 shots you may lose a bar, so a zombie grabbing you without actually attacking you brings you one step closer to death very quickly, but getting shot repeatedly for hours doesn't. Also you have barely any inventory slots at all, I understand you can increase them as you level up, but switching between them is fiddly, and annoying, especially during heated action, Frank moves really slowly, there's no button to sprint.....Why? The weapons are p*ss weak, I also understand it's possible to increase damage with levelling up, but when the first zombie takes 8 whacks with a baseball bat it's already showing that it's gonna be a slog. Also the time limit seems even more brutal in this version.
I'm gonna persevere, and see if I can get over the hump, but I'm feeling like the whole "The Wii version was shite vs the 360 version was great" is a little skewed I'm not really enjoying this much at all, but I loved the Wii version.
It'd almost be worth getting them at that price with the Bleemsync/Autobleem mods available now, sh*t even if you don't want to mess with setting that stuff up yourself there's company releasing pre-loaded memory sticks with a selection of games on them for a few quid, and you get a USB adaptor with them so you can still plug the second players controller in.
I modded mine pretty much at day 1 because it was actually complete sh*t, total poor cash in by Sony, worst mini ever, but it has potentially became the best now. It's got the juice to Retro-Arch a lot of 8 and 16 bit consoles so it's instantly appealing for HDMI ready emulation. The launch price was b*llocks, but 15 quid's not that bad if you want a small compact easy emu machine.
Apart from the final battle with Mother Brain, Metroid wasn't too bad. The game actually gets easier as you progress and get more power ups for your suit.
Zero Mission is surprising different, the boss fights are different and there's more of them and a lot of the areas have been completely changed around.
After this I think I'll tackle Super Metroid.

You absolutely should! It's truly a brilliant sequel, worthy of the praise it gets.
Metroid exists, but this is technically the first true Metroidvania game, and worthy of the title, and it's actually a super Nintendo game, and not some modern faux 16-bit indie game bullshit masquerading as one of these type of games.....and it's better than those games are as well.
I finally finished playing through Dead Rising on PS4.
OK I still think Chop til' You Drop on the Wii is actually more fun than the original version, but I will say it's way easier, getting all the survivors out in this version required several different saves, and about 2 weeks worth of reloads, and replays, and a few times I even had to restart from scratch. I got the "Saint" Trophy from rescuing all possible survivors as well, not that I actually care about trophies, or achievements but hey if I did I'm sure I'd have spunked my underpants...
Of course I could've just ploughed through the game from start to finish, but hey this is a zombie survival game, where's the challenge if you don't save everybody? But man it was actually pretty hard, and what's really weird is I'm sure in the Wii version you just play the whole game from beginning to end, in the (XBOX 360/PS4 release) you have to get to the end of Day 3, then after that the game ends, and you get "Overtime Mode", and then you play day 4's awful mass of fetch quests, and being constantly assaulted by special forces goons until you, can escape.
Got infinite mode unlocked now, which tbh seems kind of pointless, just like it was in the Wii version, time to pick another game to play I think......
Well since I've been a lazy git, and not went and got any of the games I've recently been interested in I figured I'd finally have a look at some of my backlog. After staring at my shelves, and going through my library on PS4 for what seemed like hours I finally decided since I'm back on a zombie kick I'd play through Resident Evil Revelations 2.
So far so good, not sure I like it better than the first one yet? But then again I am only on the second episode, so it's early days, although the instant problem I noticed is Moira's flashlight, and Natalia's stealth mode seems to be how I've played the majority of the game so far, only switching to Clair, or Barry when I need to shoot or stomp something.
Funny how much I liked the first game, and how early on I bought this that I've only finally just decided to play it, it's been on my shelf for what seems like years, first time I took it out of the plastic was a month or so back, I installed it, uninstalled it and played something else instead :))
I haven't even bought Judgement yet (Spin-off from the Yakuza series) for my PS4, and they drop the Yakuza HD Collection Y3, Y4, and Y5 for PS4 not availbale til' I think March next year in physical copies, but available as time unlocked downloads on PSN in digi. Not gonna do that! Nope! Anyway Yakuza 3 HD has all the content that was removed from the Western version of the game for PS3 added back in there, then you have 4, and 5 running at full speed, and it looks amazing. Ordering the physical copy nets you the boxset, for PS4, and a physical PS3 copy of Yakuza 5, which is what got me excited, as I was f*cking annoyed that Yakuza 5 never got a physical release in the west.
Then to top it all off The preview vids for Yakuza 7 dropped last night :O
...and they're doing turned based JRPG style combat instead of action based fighting, and Kazuma Kiryu is not the protagonist, but some guy called Ichii :O
Weird for the series, but Team Ryu Ga Gotaku have said if the fans hate it they'll go back to fighting mechanics instead :))

Really though, I can't have got lucky twice ;)

I'm stuck on the final boss. And it's really frustrating!
ok, ok, I've been murdering every single f**king one of them, muahahahahhahahahah
I must be out of practice though, in 3.5hrs I only killed 541 of them :/

I'm now playing Metroid Zero Mission on the Game Boy Advance.
Supposedly a redux of said game, but you absolutely will notice all the differences...…
But a hearty well done of completing the original Metroid! That game does not f*ck around....
Zero Mission is surprising different, the boss fights are different and there's more of them and a lot of the areas have been completely changed around.
