No, it's not naff..but I hate it though. I hate it cause I never had it in the day and the one person I knew that did was a weeee ***** and wouldn't let me have a go or a loan. I bear a grudge.
The other thing I think impacts on Sabre Wulf's reputation is that it was Ultimate's first 'big box' release. Because in all honesty, good though it is, it's not quite good enough to be a big box game - it doesn't represent a big enough leap forward in development. If it had come out in a regular small case - and have been priced accordingly - I'm sure people would have a better opinion of it. I know the company swapped the release order with Knight Lore, and it seems more fitting that the company's inaugural isometric game should also have been its first 'prestigious' release.
You know what, I even reckon that Sabre Wulf could have had a small-scale release alongside Lunar Jetman, and Atic Atac could have been upgraded to the big box.

I really liked sabre wulf,
I thought the temptation of seeing the cliffs and the doorway on the second screen which you could only get to after being a fair way into the game was genius.
I also liked the mountains along the map edges with the wulf (only appearing once) was also very well done.
The natives and other larger characters moving between screens was very clever.
The keyboard layout though was terrible.
If this was sorted along with stopping the main character from slightly flickering; and with a new custom font added I reckon it would of been perfect.
Yes...I wondered who would notice that.. Well done Pike!
Hmm...with this revelation about the slight use of perspective in Sabre Wulf that very few noticed. Surely that alone puts all ideation of SW being 'skit' to bed.

It's a one of those typical multi-purpose slang words, has a few different meanings, but it's a semi polite way of saying sh*t.
