Cold Cola

edited October 2005 in Chit chat
Drinking the nice cold tin of Pepsi that I had chilling in the freezer for the past half hour. I like to take it out of the fridge and stick it in the freezer for half an hour so that it's nice and cold when I eventually drink it.

Ice cold cola - one of my favourite things in life, one of the things that make life bearable. :)

I love Cold Coke - Not the cheapo stuff or diet stuff or even Pepsi (yuk!) but the orignal and best.

    Cherry Coke is better.

    Cherry Coke rocks!

I found a few shops selling it when I was over in Crete a few weeks ago. Bloody great when it's lovely and chilled and you're sitting on your Cretan balcony with the sun going down and a good book in your hand. :)

I used to like Lipton Ice when it was available. Too bad they don't make it anymore.

    I am not a masochist. :)

    Necros.

I've always preferred Coke much more than Pepsi.

When eating a chinese takeaway or fish n chips i'm so thirsty and a cold coke then is just the business.

Still have problems drinking orange though, reminds me far far far too much of vodka and orange in my teenage years and being ill countless times because of it

    Gotta be Coke with Lemon...

Everybody knows chilled IRN-BRU is the business :D
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

That new Coke ZERO is pretty good.

    Beer?
  • edited September 2005
It has to be Coke where cola is concerned. None of this Diet Coke nonsense either.

Talking of soft drinks... I just bought a case of Cherry 7UP from Bookers - they've got it on special offer for 3.99 + VAT for 24 cans.

    BARGAIN!

Full fat Cold Coke wins the cola debate for me.

However.... many, many cold beers is surely the way to go with a chinese or indian meal.

    What ever happened to TAB.

    I'll get me coat. :)

That rare animal that produced clear urine became extinct ;)

I say bring back Cherry Pepsi... I've not seen a can of that since the 1980s.

TAB is still alive and kicking here in the US...got some in my fridge right now.

Why dont you English upgrade from tea to coffee? Should get your "James, old chap" to make it for you, that way it requires less skill on your part :)

Another benefit is, of course, coffee stains on an A4 block titled "How to get out of the Goblins Dungeons" looks better than tea stains........afterall, what is a good adventure scratch-book without good coffee stains?

Coke with Vanilla is pretty damned nice, I have to say.

Yep all of us english drink tea and not coffee, also walk round with a bowler hat on.

Bit like asking why dont you scandinavians upgrade from 70's porn
  • edited September 2005
I've just sent "James, old chap" over to Denmark, to steal the aforementioned 70's porn.
Now, where's my daily roast beef and Yorkshire pudding gone???

We don't drink coffee cos' it supports evil multinationals like Nestle.

We will never break our principles.

    Except for Texan bars.

I think Kate Moss prefers Special K actually...

(That's Ketamine laced with other interesting intoxicants - not the slim-friendly breakfast cereal...)

Diet coke with lemon is nice, a good thirst quencher.

I'm one of the many who prefer Pepsi to Coke (the Pepsi Challenge has proved the "many people" claim over and over again), and as I have to drink diet or no-added-sugar drinks (unless my BG count is low), it's Pepsi Max for me -- the only diet cola which I find drinkable.? (Diet Coke tastes like something which would be better employed unblocking your drains -- and it probably would, as well...)

You believe the 'Pepsi Challenge' is real?

Heh heh. No kidding. Pick pepsi and win the good prizes, pick coke and get a stick of gum. And they could do without covering the can with a cardboard tube-- I mean who doesn't know which is which?

Coca-cola is #1 by sales -- that settles the "many people" biz.

Well, hmmm, Cola or Pepsi, I prefer my 70's porn :p
  • edited October 2005
The Pepsi Challenge is real... I've done it. Okay it was years ago... Even though I did prefer the taste of the Coke, I got a free six-pack of Pepsi for saying that the Pepsi was nicer.

By the way is Vanilla Coke still available? I haven't seen it for weeks.
  • edited October 2005
    It's in my local Tescos.

When I said 'Do you believe the Pepsi Challenge is real' I was referring to the TV ads and whether they were real or staged.

I know they use to do real ones around the country.

I prefer the diet coke, and diet pepsi, cos the "full fat" stuff coats my teeth and feels icky.
