Court Appearance
I got a letter the other day from the Procurator Fiscal office saying i need to attend Glasgow High Court as a witness to something. At the time i didn't see anything i just heard stuff being shouted but saw nothing and no one - is there any way i can get out of this? I seriously don't want to stand up in court. Can i refuse to go? I'm afraid of repercussions. I'm too shy to talk in front of an audience.

If you can't get out of it, you can probably request to be put behind a screen, I think if a witness requests anonymity they have to honour it.
Surely they can't just call you up without having spoken to you previously.
Wish i said i was asleep or out at the time now when they did door to door, then the CID turned a day or so later. This is causing me stress and a lack of sleep.
I had to fill in a form confirming availability for the next 12 months!
And yes, repercussions, Glasgow... I'd certainly put those two together.

Step up to red alert. Sir, are you absolutely sure? It does mean changing the bulb!
Looking forward to summer in Somerset later in the year :)

Forgot to update you - last week a solicitor visited me to go over my statement, i told him this happened over 4 months ago and i had forgotten the specifics of what was said and i didn't actually see anyone. He paraphrased what i said into a little dicta phone so he can send a letter to the Courts. He said it's unlikely i'll be called as won't be any use, i can't really tell them anything.
Hope that's the erm, case closed.
