I've just found out Leslie Philips is still alive! I thought he died years ago, he's 97 and still working! He's the sole remaining member alive from the original Carry on team from 1958.

Google "Sean Lock challenging wank" and all will be revealed!

If you can find the entire clip, it's a good few minutes long, it's absolutely hilarious. His team mate, Claudia Winkleman, is almost wetting herself with laughter.

Only two things will survive the apocalypse, cockroaches and Keith Richards.

  • With the amount of booze, drugs and fags i can't believe he's made it this far, his insides must be wrecked. Maybe he died years ago and was reanimated :))

  • :(( I'm lost for words. Mum's a massive fan and was one of the original fans, having seen them in their early years at Streatham. Oh well, 80s not bad going, but he was the 'cleanest' of the group. Didn't he only have the one drugs problem, not as prolific as the others? ;)
    Sod it!

Yeah my dad (R.I.P) was a massive Stones fan, got their whole studio cd discography, plus a few comps and live cds, and a bunch of original vinyl after he died, including an original 1966 mono Aftermath lp

  • Gutted. Absolutely gutted...
  • It brings the mortality feeling that little bit closer.

The 60s lot are seriously old now. 70s bods are pensioners. Those in their 20s in the 70s are 70 in the 20s...

Only got to add a few years and the late 80s, early 90s lot are approaching pension age.
  • Even 80's and 90's stars are getting on in years :(
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Did you know Manfred Mann is one of the few 60's bands where all the original members are still alive and active in music?

Of the "leading lights" of the 90s nu-metal explosion: the five original members of Korn are all between 48 and 51, Fred Durst is also 51 and Dez Fafara is 55.

During their heyday, the 80s bands who were being pointedly ignored were derided as being "grizzly old gits who were past it" when they were turning 40.

    Time waits for nobody...

Even though I find 80's hair metal comical, chessy and crap, at least a few songs are memorable, the nu-metal scene was b*llocks! Sadly a lot of good bands from the time got lumped into that crowd, and because of it suffered a similar fate.

But Korn are shite, and so are Limp Bizkit, and Slipknot, and Static-X, and I really, really can't stand the Deftones! Just to name a few of those type of bands....
