Him, his twin brother Paul, also deceased and mother Marion were all singers and lived in the same street as our family before fame took them to better pastures.
We thought the boys a bit posh because they went to boarding school unlike us scruffy urchins.
Are you sure he was 72? That means when he had his first hits with Paul he would have been about 15.

My Dad succumbed to lung and brain cancer at 51, he smoked constantly. He used to buy ciggy papers and tobacco and had this little machine that made roll ups.

Not a celeb. but James Brokenshire MP has died from cancer at 53. He had to leave his job as NI Secretary, because of his health, a few years ago, and I hadn't heard a lot about how he was doing. Sad to hear of his passing.
