I stole it off a space ship.

  • My next door neighbour is South African, a close lady friend at work is South African and I deal with people in South Africa all the time at work with that country being one of the countries that are within my remit to help with the software my work produces, and all of those have been great.
I have met other SA's years ago that were a pain, but in the main they've all been decent :)

Watching the first Sweeney movie simply called Sweeney! from 1977. Shut it!
Very violent, with a smattering of female nudity and everyone drives a Ford Cortina! It also features Diane Keen who my Dad used to fancy!

Best Sweeney ever is when they're chasing someone, and the suspect shoots "Random copper A", and "Random copper B" stops to help....Riegen's just like "Leave 'im, he's not dying!" :))

I think Channel 5 repeated it back in the early-mid 90's, along with a lot of older shows. Channel 5 was shite from the get go, but it did kind of get it's dues after a while....no idea what state it's in now, or even if it still exists? :))

ITV constantly revolve the episodes on one of their lesser channels (ITV4? ITV128?). Great to catch just catch some of it when I'm bored. It's so inappropriate in a good historical way, reminds us of how it was in London back then.
    Sod it!

  • They show it during the day but cut out the violence and swearing.
Channel 5 still exists but seems to have developed a weird obsession with the Royal Family and people on cruises.
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Basically, all main British channels are shite now.
    Sod it!

  • So are most of the streaming channels as well, apparently Netflix lost 50 billion this week. Probably because people are realizing once you watch that one show you want to see then everything else on there is complete and utter shit. Why keep paying a monthly sub to watch 2 shows a year! Bye bye long term users, funny thing is after the loss they raised their prices, funny when a company as big as that still listens to what the bank tells them :))

  • Watching a horror set in WW2 called Overlord. I hope i don't get nightmares!

It's a bit naff isn't it? Not good at all in fact. Too much of the teenage drama. Probably have to wait for Black Summer season 3 for some decent zombie action.

Agreed, I've just finished episode 5, they are dragging every little thing out which makes it boring.

I finally got around to watching Train to Busan last night, now that is a bloody amazing film! I've got the sequel which apparently is not as good, but apparently, it's decent as a standalone film.
    So far, so meh :)
  • I just watched the latest Resident Evil movie (Welcome to Raccoon City).
It was utter garbage and there wasn't much that kept my attention in a positive way.
... not every zombie movie or series is good and I don't think I'll spend time on that new Korean series.

  • That Resident Evil looked shite from the get go, usually even when a series or film looks complete arse I'll still give it a go, just to make sure it's not. On this particular occasion they'd lost my interest months ago, I'm not even going to give it the benefit of the doubt, because I absolutely know I'll be wasting my time...

  • Welcome to Racoon City is a solid B movie with many nods to the games, possibly closer to them than the previous RE movie series.
  • Mila's not in it so no point.
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • Watching the BBC drama The Tourist that was on recently. Downloaded all 6 episodes. Watched the first one and not bad so far.
    The trouble with tribbles is.......
  • I really enjoyed the Tourist. Wasn't the ending I expected either. It kind of left me disappointed, in a good way. If that makes sense. What I mean is, the result disappointed me but I felt it worked as a story. If that doesn't make sense, tough, I can't explain. :)

I’d agree with that. A bit different. No more from me as I don’t want to give away any spoilers from those who haven’t seen it but worth a watch.

Currently flying through ‘For Life’, the drama based on the guy who goes to prison and becomes a lawyer inside to fight his own case and those also for those incarcerated or similarly disenfranchised or without representation. Loving it so far (about two-thirds through season 2). Makes me angry about the corruption in the legal system (especially in America and especially for non-whites and lower ‘classes’). Powerful stuff and Nicholas Pinnock is terrific in the lead role.

It's a while from I seen either of them. I recall a scene in one of them of someone shooting his girlfriend and then himself as Regan came into the room, resulting in him getting splattered with blood, but cannot remember whether it was Sweeney 1 or 2?

From the TV series I recall an episode of someone with a laser sighted rifle and Regan getting blinded temporarily when he looked into the beam.

  • That was Sweeney 2 - quite a graphic scene.
I remember that episode, it was something to do with selling guns to the IRA. I've got them all on DVD. It's one of the best police dramas the UK made, quite realistic and sometimes the baddies got away or died. No happy endings here.

Yes I just looked it up it was in the last series - an episode called Nightmare.
