Might have to give that a whirl when I get home from work. A randomized playlist all from Peel Sessions, what an actually really good idea :O
I heard so much out there stuff on John Peels show I’m probably gonna be so nostalgic I’ll be teary eyed while I listen to it :))
It’ll be Hardcore Gabba 1 minute, then Garage Rock the next followed by Grindcore, followed by a bit of African Tribal Folk Music….Although hang on that just sounds like his show in general :))
I hope there’s a few “and I apologize for the swearing during that track” moments for good measure…

I clicked a few times and heard grindcore, dub, rave and what sounded like some indie pop lol

Broadsword is one of the few CDs I keep in the car for emergency listening.
I have fond memories of driving round Loch Ness with our uncle, windows wound down blaring Beastie, hoping to tempt the monster out.
Had it on vinyl back in the day, had a look on discogs more recently and noticed, that as well as another under rated album Black sabbaths - Tyr were both quite expensive these days, i'll have to have another look

Not to take away from the current mood above. but bring me my broadsword..clear understanding I never had that album or any, but I did have 25 years collection or whatever. Was ace. Jack-a-lynne..
TAPE ARCHIVE erhm 'woopy'

that tape archives based where I used to live so mostly it's old local bands, or other bands playing local venues, or in this case other stuff slipped in lol

Some old friends Blind Mole rat live in poland, think the Clash but with a fiddle and accordian. Singer Chris and fiddle player kiri were a couple and came to my leaving party at some friends shared house / squat when i left Sheffield to move up here, because we all lived in the same area (Pitsmoor) a main black area of Sheffield., those were the days.

an obvious choice, but a classic. It reflects my current mood.

When I looked at the still image I thought to myself is there anything Vladimir Putin can't do? :))
Haha! Having said that if it really had been Putin he would be stripped to the waist with a sedated bear in the foreground.
