Looks suspiciously like a modern remake of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde
from the wiki page for it
The film had its origins with a meeting Paddy Chayefsky had with his friends Bob Fosse and Herb Gardner at the Russian Tea Room in 1975. They were feeling "disgruntled" and as a joke conceived a movie they could make together. They wanted to pitch something to Dino De Laurentiis, who was making King Kong. After discussing a version of Frankenstein they decided to do a version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde.[4] Chayefsky went home and wrote a three-page "dramatic statement and I have never seen something come together so fast

Professional Mel-the-Bell Simulator................"So realistic, I found myself reaching for the Kleenex King-Size!" - Richard Darling
I rewatched Dark City during lockdowns. It hasn't held up particularly well. What were clever practical effects back then and looked quite novel look terrible in the CGI age. It all comes across as a bit cheap now, which is really detrimental to the tone of the whole thing.
I think everyone will be shocked that Hall's death wasn't drink related.
DDP is one hell of a person if he can clean up both Scott Hall and Jake Roberts!
Oh, no. Every time you turn up something monumental and terrible happens.
I don’t think I have the stomach for it.

I actually almost met Peter Bowles in person. I had a school friend who's Aunt was a producer at the BBC and we went on a back stage trip to the studios one day. We got to watch actual filming of shows including Blake's 7 and To The Manor Born!
I was a big Blake's 7 fan, but as a family we also always watched To The Manor Born. It looks a bit cringey now, but used to get 20m viewers back at its peek! There was a real "Will they, won't they?" fascination between Bowles and Penelope Keith.

It’s the one he’s never remembered for though. I didn’t even realize he was in his 70’s.

Weather forecasts became a joy just because of him. He will be missed.
