  • Ahhh That's sad!
    Every night is curry night!
  • RIP Raymond Briggs.

I never really got on with The Snowman but I can see why it is so popular. When The Wind Blows was a brilliant critique of government nuclear war advice (a triple whammy when thought about with Threads and Neil painting himself white in the Young Ones).

Ethel and Ernest was genuinely affecting; one of the few films to make me cry.

    Thanks, Raymond

  • Odd, I thought he died a couple of years ago. Very very sad. His work was brilliant and I agree with briscaF1, Ethel and Ernest really touched the heart. I'm a little proud that he went to my school (quite an old traditionalist school with old qualities) and was even in the same house, albeit 30 years before me. RIP.
    Sod it!

  • When the wind blows and the snowman, 2 of my favourite "films" growing up

  • I really enjoyed his Father Christmas books. He was a real grumpy old git, which is precisely how Raymond Briggs described himself!

  • I got no idea who she was tbh. Some confusion? She was crashed twice and nearly caused an accident first time. Maybe was doing a boozy Pelosi, but they said no alcohol in bloods. You know what they are like for not wanting to tarnish stars legacies. Who knows.

She's most famous for shagging Ellen DeGeneres...

I wanna tell you a story 'bout a woman I know...

People have said, she was drugged driving and was being chased from the police and went almost straight through a house, Cocaine has been found in her system i believe

  • I read reports that she was possibly high. Must have been a nasty way to go, being trapped in a burning car, i think that's how Paul Walker died.

  • I don't think she was trapped in a car for 7 days...

she was originally trapped in a burning car, then spent a week in a coma

  • Shame. I quite liked Anne Heche for being unconventional and not seemingly giving a fuck, happy to be her own person which must be difficult in Hollywood where an easily pigeonholed package is required.

Reports say that she might have been off her tits on coke mixed with fentanyl, which I think isn't a good combination, especially if she wasn't used to it.

At least she was an organ donor so I guess someone will be coming out of a life saving operation with a very spirited disposition.

    RIP

  • Freya the Walrus. Age unknown.

She swam up Olso fjord and been entertaining everyone for a week. Idiots went close to take selfies. Authorities said she was suddenly a danger. Instead of just rescuing the Walrus, they decided to shoot her in the head. Scandalous.

    Poor Freya.

For all their ability to create nice and relaxed societies, the scandies really don't give a **** about nature do they? Not content with hunting whales to extinction, lets just shoot a few stray animals as well. :))

Heh, it's true of Norway. One of the bad points for sure. There was some very strong words exchanged a few years ago because they kept shooting Swedish wolves. Good honest Swedish wolves minding their own business were just crossing the border for a bit of grub and got shot! . Yes, it's kinda true.

  • They planned to move her to another area but were concerned for her welfare, they weren't that concerned as they shot her. Bastards.
Animals have just as much right to be here as us, in fact they were here before us. Sick of this selfie obsessed culture we have now, people obsessed with getting as many likes as they can. Sad fucks.

  • Yes, he was Scottish. Darius Campbell-Danesh. I mean, I couldn't tell one pop idol from another, but he was very well known in Scotland. Even sang on the hogmany.

    Big shock actually. Shame.
