Good riddance to bad rubbish. There is a hell of a lot more blood on his hands than those three girls he was convicted for, but I guess we'll never know now. Strong suspect for being Bible John too, an uncaught serial killer in Glasgow in the 60s.
Yes, so they do say. She was a granny favourite. I have to confess to never have watched an episode ever of Murder She Wrote. It seemed to be on non stop in the daytime over the last decades all over the world. Say's she was born into an upper middle class family - whatever that is... in England. Anyhoohow..big Hollywood star. We're running out of silvery screen idols now.
Ah yeah. Says British/Irish. Says she got her blarney ability sorta from an Irish side. Yes, I did look. I've seen her in a few movies. Course, they don't often show the oldies nowadays.
I've just heard from my daughter. Well gutted. Coincidentally, I watched Supergrass the other night with him in it as the mad copper and dirty movie where he is another mad copper. Big loss
Remember the fairy liquid advert where he had a motorbike engine in the kitchen sink. Well it works on yer roasting’ tin granny! :))
He was even good in adverts.
I'd completely forgot about those adverts. Just looked them up on YT - Persil.
He really was so versatile. He could be a comedy actor (Young Ones, Blackadder, Nuns on the Run), serious drama (Cracker) and movies (Harry Potter, Bond and so many others). Every one he was nothing less than great. I don't think we all appreciated what a fantastic actor he was and took him a bit for granted.
And there's not many actors who could change their accent like he could and be utterly convincing. It was a bit of a shock after seeing him in Harry Potter with his yokel accent and then hearing him for real again. Oh yeah, he's Scottish.
Which always makes me wonder why they dubbed his character in Krull over with Michael Elphick’s voice? It can’t be for his accent when you also have Todd Carty, Alan Armstrong, and Liam Neeson in there as well, not to mention the star Ken Marshall’s American accent.

I’ll be honest though I thought she was already gone.
I've seen Fanny by Gaslight
I'll miss her, saw too many Murder She Wrote back in the day.

TBH I didn't realise he was 72, but it's still a shock and it's still too young... :(

Luny reminded me there. Black Adder. "is like a dog that speaks Norwegian, ever rarer" Funny as hell.
