"I am currenly listening to " the sound of my soul slowly dying as I keep waking up to do the same old job again and again with the same problems day in day out and no variation in the whinging people. :))
I was directed towards Black Midi because they did a cover of a Beefheart song. I can certainly hear the influence. Not listened to much, but do like this live version of John L. Will need to investigate further.
I like the synth/violin bit in Damnation Alley (not read the book).
Hassan I Sabbah no-one likes cos that was all they used to play if you asked for Hawkwind in the Rock nightclub, where there were much better choices available (not Silver Machine).
Sue Wilkinson - You got to be a hustler if you want to get on.
Blimey, I'd forgotten that song, very clever lyrics. Audience seemed a bit underwhelmed though. Slightly ruined by a snippet of BA Robertson at the end.
Steve Hillage was also in Gong and he went on to do the Orb I think?
Ozrics went on to form Eat Static and they did at least one great song but I can never find it (the one about witnessing the possibility of movement in the fourth dimension) :/
