Hmmmmm, something odd here too. Just tried it on Speculator on my laptop in 128k mode and no flicker. That's proper strange! It's repeatable every time on the desktop.

Just tested my spare MC1377P, still no colour. Swaped a 1377 from one QL with BW picture to another which had colour, and the colour was still there and no only b/w picture, which I expected if the 1377 would be defect.
