Unfortunately my case doesn't look that simple. The board and components are clean and shiny, and besides, i've tried everything i could (ULA, rom, RAM, Z80) on a working +2 grey board.

From a recent experience with a +2 grey machine, i'd say it could be the memory multiplexing chip to the left of the Z80 (same size). I think its called PCF... something or ZX8401....(issue 6 and above)
