Well, with the budget of £30 you will be targeting a black +2 (+2B in +2A case) in the bottom end of the scale. Have a look at SMR where you can find a decent DivMMC for £30-35.

I believe a CPC display requires a separate luminance signal, which is available on the 128K/+2 Spectrum but not on the +2A/3. In addition, I’m not sure what levels the monitor expects, so some series resistors might be required. -
