I thought only the multiface 3 was made for the +2A/+3. I have a Protek switched interface for kempston/cursor/sinclair that works plugged straight on. cursor and sinclair cannot work since the ula overrides.

The +2A sinclair ports are wired the Amstrad way. Your kempston interface is probably the Atari way which almost everything is. The SJS1 joysticks sold with spectrums wouldn't work on Atari ports.
