Why bother? Emulating an 8bit CPU at 3.5MHz on a 64bit CPU isn't going to task the CPU enough to need those optimisations. 64bit is currently pretty pointless for the average user.

I've managed to align 3,5" drive on Amiga without special equipment. its very fiddly. there is a link to a tutorial for 3" drive on Amstrad somewhere, cant find it now.
