How do you know it's the upper RAM block that's down on your two 48K's? Also, if you want, you can use 41256 chips instead of 4164. Well.....I can get 4116 RAM, 4164 RAM, LM 1889 and the 74xxx ones.
The problem seems to be the ULA and the ROM
