I see where you're going with the Z-buffer parallel but it wouldn't work - because when you use Z-buffering a polygon you draw may occur anywhere on screen.

WTHAS has to be loaded in 48k mode otherwise the screen will be littered with SPECTRUM PLAY keywords.

How could I find out whether an obscure game or program I have is 16K or 48K in size on a 48K machine? Is there a program I can type in that would make the Speccy 48K act like a 16K?
