There are some 2.5" lcd displays with a native resolution of 640x480 pixels, but 2.5" is really small:

There is 60Hz RGB and 50Hz RGB ... unfortunately these do get interchanged for PAL RGB (50hz C-PbPr) and NTSC RGB (60Hz C-PbPr)
Most EU TV's will support 60Hz RGB component, however not many US TV's do not support 50Hz RGB Component. -

My version of a reengineered JSW runs at 50Hz with 8 sprites.
However depending on relative positions, severe sprite tearing can occur.
