    No games except text adventures benefit from this. Because usually its only one aspect of the game thats slow, so when you speed it up the whole game runs faster making the elements disproportionally faster.

    I found it really hard to get into adventures although I did complete Gremlins.. there was another one set
    in a school in the 1920's if i remember

    I loved all the early Level 9 adventures up to Emerald Isle and Price of Magic, The Hobbit was just too easy and was overhyped, I liked Fergus McNeill's adventures e.g. Robin Of Sherlock, The Boggit etc in fact I played more adventures than arcade.
