    Handy thread, this. So...

    0 = NOT PI
    1 = SGN PI
    2 = VAL "2"
    3 = INT PI

    Is there a better one for 2?
    What about 4?

    The only logical use I have ever seen for VAL$ was in a recursive function to print
    n! where the result would be an empty string when n reached 0.

    Of course Dr Beep a 128k version could place the RAM in the top 16k very easily by using the alternate screen page and placing in the top of the ram. May be worth doing as it should require only a cursory adjustment.
