The other issue is that the beeper is the same volume as all three AY channels combined at full volume, which makes it a bit more awkward to integrate nicely. -

Somewhere, in the +3 handbook. it says something about the PLAY command being a third the volume of the beeper. The beeper is the same level as all three AY channels driven at the same time.
