48k = Future Games
128k = Glider Rider
Considering all 48k tunes were done with the internal beeper and 128k with a dedicated sound chip, I consider the /work/ of 48k musicians to be far superior. -

No. If you really wanted a guess, I'd say the lack of retriggered interrupt handling in the Z80 core, but someone would have to go through the game with a debugger to confirm if that's a possibility.
