Most of the manager games from D&H Software is quite good.

I won a match in Football Manager without having any players on the pitch whatsoever (I probably sold them all or something). This kinda suggests to me that the game is more about luck than tactics. :p

ZX Football Manager 2005 is a great management sim for the Speccy from Cronosoft. Probably the most comprehensive game of its type that I've played on an 8-bit.

final whistle was good, pretty much because it was fast paced and was the only football manager I ever heard that instead of the regular 11 team was 5 team football!
