I remember fiddling around with HiSoft's compiler on the old Atari ST ... man that was a beaut! Never seen it on the Speccy though :(

I don't know if the docs are on here, but I remember that using the SOFTEK "IS" COMPILER, RANDOMIZE USR 59300 compiles, and RANDOMIZE USR 40000 executes the compiled code.Best Speccy game written in BASICHopefully this has not been done before, but anyhoo. My vote is the sublime VIKING RAIDERS.

I personally use UltraEdit and TASM, though PASMO looks like another good compiler.
You can use Spin's inbuilt assembler for coding as well.
Have a look on the WOS documents I believe there are a couple for newbies to Z80 coding.
