In essence you are connecting to pin 13 of the LM1889 which is the chroma output and removing chrominance from the composite signal.
I see no reason that it shouldn't work on the 4S but I don't have a schematic for that board. -

By the way, just changed the lightning modell in "Yumiko" from luma to chroma. Now not the brighter colour of light is displayed, but it blends RGB values, so Magenta+Green blends to white and not stays green anymore. This looks much better now. -

Dyno Blaster isn't too bad of a Bomberman Clone.
The Last Courier is a very good game.
