Keep hold of them CRTs. I got a nice 21" Sony just for retro gaming. In some ways the CRT is still boss in many ways (black levels, motion, zero input lag etc).

Lift the end of C65 on ZX48k that goes to TR2, hook that up to chroma output, take luma from where you usually take the composite video. And that is it.
