YES IT IS. You don't have to have ANY of those features - even without switches for them disabling avatars is a simple matter of PHP coding - just remove the bit in the display script that includes avatars. Ten second job literally. -

As for HTMl formatting, isn't that because of use of non-standardised HTML or IE specific HTML coding that's causing the screw-up? I always that was the case. -
