    I love my TC2048, with composite out and built in Kempston interface and excellent 48K Spectrum compatibility it is a very useful machine. Not to mention the excellent build quality (feels much more solid that a 48K), and improved graphics modes.

    MS has already bought connectix and releasing free copies of Virtual PC on their website. And I guess, vista will have a new version of VirtualPC integrated in os.

    this is the way that new os' help to prevent compatibility issues.

    It does but because they share a bus you can't use both simultaneously. And they're both clocked at 2 MHz, so the 6502 in it vastly outperforms the Z80, which was primarily included for CP/M compatibility.
