    I've put these contention changes into SpecEmu and Shock runs perfectly in +3 mode.

    Ok, so it ran perfectly beforehand with the FAQ figures but at least nothing broke :)

    IMO, memory contention really isn't hard to ... something morally equivalent to tstates += contention[ tstates ] around your code.

    Router shouldn't affect speed. The only bottleneck is usually your ISP.

    Can you imagine half meg at 50:1 contention and the other 49 dweebs all downloading mpeg and mp3's nightmare.

    I love my cable connection :)

    I love my blueyonder broadband. I currently have 1MB which regularly gives me 128K downloads.

    I believe cable also gives you 1:1 contention unlike ADSL which is 50:1 or 20:1 if you pay extra.
