You need to save your UDG's and reload them after making them or remake them in the BASIC again.

i fear princm is wrong.
on plain spectrum 48k, right after resetting PRINT PEEK 65530 will return 66, as it is the 3rd byte in the bitmap of the 'U' UDG character.
i suspect he wanted to write PRINT PEEK 65535, which returns 0. -

No, I think the character was only maybe 1 UDG high and the spaceship was MUCH BIGGER... it was more like an adventure...What was the most technically advanced game you've seenThe sort of game that made you disbelieve it was a spectrum you were playing on...
Jetpac as most games around that time just didn't have its polish.
The only one at the time that really came close was Stop the Express which had a similar level of cutesyness as the other Ultimate games of the time like Cookie and Pssst.
