Yes I used to play Outrun with the supplied arcade music.
My favorite would be playing Commando with Ride of the Valkyries playing, but always died when I tried to rewind the music without pausing the game!

I had a copy of the album Aural Sculpture by the Stranglers which had an adventure game on the end of the tape - don't remember it's name, but I think it was connected with the music biz.
I think it was pretty dire tho.
