Problem with testing spectrum 128K ram in BASIC is that if any of the chips go tits up the computer won't boot. It would have to be machine code in a custom ROM only.
On the 48 if the bottom 16K is ok it will go into BASIC. -

Also, a lot of thinking already went into the Custom info structure, and it's in NO way rushed.
I am of course open to any constructive ideas that would help to make this Custom info better.
