    If you will only modify(poke) code without change length of data blocks, then you can use HEX editor (I use NOTEPAD++) and fix parity bytes via DOS utility TSTTAP.EXE by Busysoft:

    I do remember entering small routines in DATA statements long before I got familiar with a monitor or using hex. I still remember the values for many of the more used opcodes. Just weird I guess!
