To render a flat 2D square into the traditional isometric 3D view:
1) Rotate anticlockwise 45 degrees.
2) Scale down the Y-axis to half-height.
There you go, one simple floor tile. -

AA: thats a completely normal situation for the isometric game. You can do that in any iso game on speccy that has 3 objects in the room - try HoH or batman ;-) i.e. no rotations of cubes/etc. are necessary for this situation to occur. -

Not much of a choice, and it's missing the actual best isometric game (The Great Escape!), but out of the choices available it's Movie for me. A great game where you actually felt like the npc characters were actual people, not just sprites!
