Yeah the +3 disk version is a bit enhanced - it displays the action previews over the map which is not in 48k version (it is also in the C-64 version). Also the 8-bit NES version is pretty good but it has no option to turn off the action parts. -

Had a wee shot of the +3 disk version of [I]North and South[/I] last night to discover that, yes, it plays just as well (and is nearly as well-presented) as the excellent 16-bit versions.
