If you use the Spectaculator emulator (in +3 mode, of course) you can create a blank disk image by choosing File > New > Blank disk image.

Getting +3 disk emulation to work well is one of the most annoying tasks any programmer is likely to come across!
Luckily the original (Imagine software) release works well in Spectaculator :) -

You need to play it in an emulator (such as SPIN or Spectaculator) with the Fuller joystick attached. The game assumes that there is one, and the lack of one combined with floating bus behaviour produces that effect.
