The Omni edge connector should be compatible with most standard peripherals as far as I understand with the exception with divMMC because it clashes with the one already onboard even if its disabled. I don't have any other device to test mine with however. -

Looks like it should work to me. Just follow the steps it's not too difficult to do I did it with my divMMC Enjoy mini. There's no long filename in esxdos (at least for the moment). If you have Dr Slump's new NMI browser, the controls can be redefined. -
