Andrew, you could not have played Hostages on Spin, it doesn't work. The 48k game freezes at the mission choosing screen. The 128k version get stuck with a man jumping back and forth over a wall after flicking through some menu screens. -

I only enjoyed the 128K versions of the Dizzys (mainly Dizzy 5 and Prince of the Yolkfolk), as well as the 128K version of Slightly Magic.
The extra animations were of great importance to me in terms of game appeal.

I recall that the 128k version of Elite came out in 1986/87, and I have it on a Speccy +3 game compilation (on disc).
The compilation is called 'Supreme Challenge', and is available on tzx and dsk format in the WoS archive. -
