If you like games like Dune 2, C&C and Starcraft, the answer is fairly easy. It's a precursor RTS to those, and with a lot of the same elements that made them great.

I hate games where leaving a room though one door does not start you in the opposite door in the next room. Enigma Force is a monster for this, especially since you are expected to issue fixed NSEW commands to your team. -

Nothing wrong with Shadowfire. And Enigma Force is one of those great games, like Valhalla or Skool Daze, which conjure up the feeling where if the player wasn't involved at that moment, the game would still keep playing. Both great. Mostly great. -

Not even a question, both Shadowfire & Enigma Force were incredible games which sucked you and and kept you on the edge of your seat.
Even Cosmic Wartoad was really good. -
