The Spectrum Next hardware could certainly be programmed as a SAM Coupe, but the keyboard wouldn't have the extra keys SAM software uses. You'd want an external keyboard. -

BTW, if you fave to use an external keyboard you might be better off with a Mist since it supports so many machines.
The ZX Uno wouldn't be bad, but it's a smaller FPGA so it won't support some machines. -
