Are you in 128k mode? The original Fairlight doesn't work on 128k Spectrums - even in 48k mode. The loader fails (unless you hack it). :) -

Fairlight doesn't work on 128k Spectrums either. The game does, but the loader doesn't. I could only run a Multifaced copy after I upgraded to the 128...
