well, i run realspectrum under win98 and have never experienced any problems, neither with sound (both with noname SB and with SB Audigy), nor with stability or alkatraz (or any other) loaders.

The fastest DOS emulator is probably JPP - it runs on a 25mhz 486 or 44mhz 386.
It's probably worth trying Warajevo first tho' since it has a lot more options to play with including 128K emulation. Warajevo also uses the PC Speaker for sound. -

Don't worry. In this demo, the timmings are wrong and it's a bit slower than the original one.
I fixed it and soon you'll see the playable version. It will be a bit fastest... but not much, the original is not too fast ^_^
