Just downloaded Firefox and installed it and yep I'm impressed with way it automatically closes popups. Will definitely be using this from now on.

Firefox has problems scrolling WOS pages - make sure that the smooth scrolling is disabled.
Mind you, I find that IE is a lot faster than Firefox in general, but I'd rather use Firefox as it's a tad less vulnerable than IE.
